Fox Sports is officially “linking up” with Barstool Sports and its founder Dave Portnoy, in what Portnoy “calls a ‘wide-ranging’ deal.” The pact “will see Portnoy and other Barstool personalities join Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff college football show,” with Barstool “also set to create a new two-hour studio show” that will air on FS1 Monday-Friday. Additionally, the Barstool College Football Show “will stream on Fox Sports digital channels and Tubi ahead of Fox’s own pre-game show, with a college basketball show to follow later this year.” The company will also “work together to produce digital content featuring Fox and Barstool personalities.” Portnoy and Barstool signed with UTA for representation last year (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 7/17).

Portnoy noted on Barstool’s “The Unnamed Show” podcast that while he will be on “Big Noon Kickoff” every week, Barstool Sports “still going to do our college football show” – and that show “will lead into ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ on the six weeks that we’re traveling” and “will just be on Barstool” channels. But Portnoy added that when the Barstool College Football Show cast – which includes Dan “Big Cat” Katz, Brandon Walker, Evan “Big Ev” McDowell, Kayce Smith and others – is in town those weeks, “we’ll all probably be incorporated” into “Big Noon Kickoff” at various points. Portnoy characterized the upcoming daily show Barstool will do on FS1 as “like a ‘Barstool Breakfast’ show or ‘Barstool Wakeup’” show, and Portnoy will work the Monday edition. That show will be based in Chicago. Portnoy also noted that he thinks “we’ll do a lot more” with the partnership in the future (“The Unnamed Show,” Barstool Sports, 7/17).
